Job summary

The City of Welland is seeking a Supervisor – Water/Wastewater to lead the day-to-day operation, maintenance and compliance of its municipal water distribution and wastewater collection systems. You will provide supervision and technical oversight to staff to ensure safe, efficient operations in accordance with applicable legislation and municipal policies.

• Provide technical oversight and leadership to staff to maintain safe, efficient infrastructure.

Job description

Salary: $97,156 – $113,659 (2026 rates)

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, on-call weekday/weekend rotations.

About the position:

Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, Public Works, the Supervisor – Water/Wastewater is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, regulatory compliance, and performance of the City’s municipal water distribution and wastewater collection systems. The position provides leadership, supervision, and technical oversight to operational staff, ensuring that water and wastewater infrastructure is operated safely, efficiently, and in accordance with all applicable legislation, regulations, standards, and municipal policies.
