The Supervisor, Business & Support Services is responsible for organizing and coordinating administrative support to advance the service priorities of the Department. The position is accountable for the delivery of subsidy programs, providing direct customer service support, supervising administration and concessions operations, supporting the operation of recreation and culture software applications, developing quarterly and ad-hoc data reporting, and ensuring administrative functions are achieved within prescribed timelines. The position will maintain quality standards in order to support service level expectations and deliver results that are aligned with corporate objectives.
Post-secondary diploma in Business, Public Administration, Recreation and Leisure, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive supervisory experience in a municipal or recreation environment
Successful candidate will be required to travel between the different Town Facilities. Access to transportation to travel in a timely manner is required.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills with the ability to deal effectively with the public, staff, and volunteers with an aptitude to manage difficult situations and resolve issues
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities; work under pressure; and adapt to changing circumstances
Proficiency in financial transaction and reconciliation administration with experience in the coordination and administration of subsidy programs
Strong leadership and supervisory skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Proficiency in Recreation Management Software, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and Financial Management Software
Post-secondary degree in Business, Public Administration, Recreation and Leisure, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
