Job summary

Save-On-Foods is hiring a Supervisor for our West Kelowna store. This full-time role (40 hours) involves leading the store team, coaching staff, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will support operations across departments, assist with merchandising, health and safety, and drive sales performance. Food Safe certification and 2–4 years of retail experience are valued assets.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of retail experience.
• Leadership experience is an asset.
• Food Safe Certification is required or asset.
• Post-secondary education in business is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team, coaching and mentoring to ensure customer-first service.
• Support management in operations, health/safety, merchandising, and front-end.
• Coordinate cross-department efforts to maintain service standards.
• Assist with HR initiatives, scheduling, and talent development.
• Communicate key messages to staff to align with objectives.
• Monitor store performance via HR and sales dashboards.

We are hiring for a Supervisor at our Save-On-Foods location in Westbank** , BC.**

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, and the successful applicant must have open availability.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading the store team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource while fostering a positive team environment focused on Always Customer First service.
• Supporting the management team in achieving operational excellence through customer experience, health and safety, food safety, merchandising, and front end operations.
• Providing support across departments as needed to maintain service and operational standards.
• Supporting with team member related initiatives as requested.
• Communicating key messages to the store team to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Reviewing business/HR metrics and dashboards to monitor store performance.
• Assisting the management team with implementing strategies to grow sales and customer loyalty.
• Supporting with centre of store inventory as well as department stocktaking as required.
• Performing all job duties throughout the store as needed, including lifting weight (up to 50 lbs), standing for long periods of time, and working in hot/cold environments.

You have:

• 2-4 years of retail experience.
• Leadership experience is an asset.
• Food Safe Certification.
• A post-secondary education in a business related field is an asset.
• Experience and/or knowledge with:
  • Achieving sales targets and profitability.
  • Financial planning and budgeting.
  • Developing and executing merchandising plans.
  • Human Resources (e.g. recruitment, training, development and coaching).
  • Employee Relations and knowledge of the collective agreement (if applicable).
  • Scheduling.
• Proficiency with computer applications.
