Job summary

The Opportunity

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Summit Producer to join our Production team at our Toronto office.

This is a key role focused on identifying top-tier Thought Leaders across targeted industries and securing their participation at our high-impact summits. You'll play a vital role in speaker acquisition, conducting industry research to support new product development, and crafting compelling content that promotes learning, benchmarking, and networking among our event participants. Developing and executing an effective speaker acquisition strategy will be a central objective of this role – one that directly contributes to increasing event attendance and elevating the overall onsite experience for our audience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and Engage Thought Leaders: Research and target industry experts to participate as speakers at upcoming events
  • Lead Speaker Acquisition Efforts: Manage outreach, follow-up, and onboarding processes for speakers across all events, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience
  • Account Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with speakers to encourage repeat participation and advocacy
  • Conduct Market and Industry Research: Analyze trends, emerging topics, and key players within target industries to inform speaker selection and content direction
  • Create Compelling Content: Assist in developing agendas, session descriptions, and speaker briefs that align with audience interests and learning objectives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required
  • 1+ years in Sales, Event Production, or related field
  • Self-Motivation: A self-motivated and results-driven approach is key to thriving in this role. You should be proactive in seeking out new opportunities and driven to achieve and exceed targets
  • Communication: Ability to clearly and professionally exchange information with clients and event staff, both in writing and verbally
  • Research and Analytics: Ability to conduct thorough research and stay informed about industry trends, challenges, and opportunities
  • Organizational Skills: Effectively manage multiple tasks, pay attention to detail, and meet tight deadlines
