The mandate of Complexes, Aqua & Specialized Services is to provide strategic vision and innovative leadership in managing customer-centric sports, physical activity, aquatics, and recreation venues, programs, and services for all ages. This includes managing facilities and land, and delivering indoor and outdoor recreation programs and services. The Service provides city-wide access to adapted, therapeutic, and integrated recreation programs, offering children, youth, and adults with special needs opportunities to participate in community recreation.
Under the guidance of a Recreation Supervisor, you will coordinate the delivery of information within the Seasonal Recreation Wading Pool Program. Responsibilities include being the initial contact for program inquiries, maintaining files and incident reports, processing service requests, assisting in staff scheduling, and compiling program statistics and reports. You will also support full-time staff with administrative duties and may handle staff payroll input. Work is performed in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Note: Minimum age of 16 years required for this Summer Student job.
Post-Secondary Student (completion of first year college or university). Must be returning to school in the fall.
Minimum of 2 years of related experience, including at least 1 year with Parks Wading Pool Program or equivalent experience in a client service environment.
