Job summary

ATB Financial is seeking a Summer 2027 Student to support the Research Team and a key project involving industry database manipulation, analysis, and deriving insights from data. The role is 100% onsite at either Calgary, AB or Toronto, ON, with compensation ranging between $38/hr and $42/hr based on experience.

You will create financial models, maintain industry databases, and assist in publishing research reports while collaborating with sales, trading and other areas within regulatory

Qualifications

• Pursuing a university degree focused on Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Geology.
• Must be willing and able to work onsite 100% at our office located in Calgary, AB or Toronto, ON.
• Passionate about investment research.
• Ability to conduct in-depth fundamental investment research.
• Strong accounting, financial modeling, technical and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain company financial models.
• Create exhibits suitable for supporting analysis and publishing.
• Maintenance of industry databases and company-specific spreadsheets as well as the use of industry-specific software.
• Assist in generating research publications including writing, editing, and final report preparation.
• Conduct primary research from industry and financial sources.
• Prepare and maintain marketing presentations as required.
• Liaise with sales, trading and other areas of the firm within regulatory guidelines.
