Job summary

Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) provides service to approximately 6,100 students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 in 34 schools and is one of the largest employers in the Grande Prairie/Spirit River region.

Substitute Educational Assistants are sought to support students on an on-call, casual basis. They work under the supervision of a certificated teacher and must have Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training and a High School Diploma.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training.
• Experience in a classroom setting is an asset.
• Availability to meet outside of school hours.
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
• Willingness to perform required physical tasks and assist with personal care.

CLAIRMONT COMMUNITY SCHOOL AND WHISPERING RIDGE COMMUNITY SCHOOL are seeking student-focused Substitute Educational Assistants with Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training.

Substitute Educational Assistants work on an on-call, casual basis to support students when regular staff are unavailable. The Substitute Educational Assistant works under the supervision of a certificated teacher.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training
• Experience working in a classroom setting would be an asset
• You have the ability to meet outside of school hours.
• You have the ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
• You have the ability and willingness to perform required physical tasks, as well as assist with personal care.
