Job summary

Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) is seeking a Temporary Full-Time Educational Assistant (6.5 hours/day, Monday to Friday) to join Whispering Ridge Community School. The Educational Assistant will work under the supervision of a certificated teacher to support student learning and classroom activities.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma (Educational Assistant Diploma preferred), knowledge of LAMP or AAC, and the ability to perform physical tasks and assist with personal care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Educational Assistant Diploma is preferred.
• Knowledge of LAMP or using AAC.
• CPR/First Aid would be considered an asset.
• Experience working with children in a classroom/organized setting is preferred.
• Ability and willingness to perform required physical tasks, as well as assist with personal care.
• Ability to meet outside of school hours.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
