Job summary

ENTRUST Canada is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our substation engineering team in Calgary. You will lead and mentor the civil substation team, review designs for compliance, and collaborate with other disciplines. You’ll prepare key design documents such as DBM, EDS and cost estimates, and support construction with IFC drawings.

Minimum 5 years of experience in utilities civil design, a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, active APEGA registration and P.Eng designation are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in utilities civil design for high voltage substations.
• Active professional registration with APEGA and P.Eng designation.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the substation civil team and review designs for compliance.
• Prepare DBM, EDS, cost estimates, material take-offs and scopes of work.
• Create IFC drawings and support construction phases; promote safety.
• Ensure design packages and as-built data are completed; provide client liaison.
