Job summary

Yorkville University and Toronto Film School are seeking a Program Advisor to foster student success, focusing on progression and timely program completion across Toronto Film School programs. You will work with the Manager of Student Experience to ensure comprehensive support throughout students' academic journeys.

This is a full-time role with a hybrid schedule: one day remote and four days on-site at our headquarters at 120 Bloor Street East.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and experience supporting post-secondary students.
• Strong knowledge of university policies and calendars.
• Excellent communication and rapport-building with diverse student populations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with learners and provide guidance.
• Advise on policies, procedures, and program requirements.
• Monitor progress, conduct meetings with probation and at-risk students, and track outcomes.
• Connect students with tutoring, accommodations, financial services, IT support, and career services.
• Lead Skills for Success sessions and orientation programs.
• Respond to inquiries and contribute to reporting on retention and reenrollment.
