Job summary

Northern College is seeking a proactive Support Staff member in Haileybury to lead student recruitment and campus events. You will liaise with prospective students, community groups, schools and influencers to relay program information and admissions details, while coordinating outreach activities across the Northern College catchment.

You will travel to local high schools, attend events, prepare promotional materials, manage recruitment budgets and enter leads into the CRM promptly.

Qualifications

  • Three (3) year diploma or degree in Public Relations, Marketing or Business, Communications, Event Management or a related/relevant field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a public relations, marketing, sales or related lead generation field.
  • Valid Class G Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Visit local high schools in the Northern College catchment for grade 12 presentations, parent-teacher events, Grade 10 career classes, coop presentations, career fairs and follow-up visits.
  • Attend community events to promote the College and to collect leads.
  • Plan and promote on-campus activities and events including tours, Student for-a-Day, and College marketing/recruitment events to all prospective students and influencers.
  • Work with other college staff in the development and review of recruitment and related promotional materials, brochures, flyers, posters and other items, as required.
  • Collect and enter leads from prospective students and influencers into the CRM (i.e. Salesforce) in a timely manner.
  • Prepare, maintain and review individual recruitment travel budgets; and
  • Based on historical data, analyze and build a recruitment schedule of activities.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Marketing, Communications and External Relations, the Student Recruitment & Event Coordinator will serve as a primary recruitment contact and ongoing liaison between the College and prospective students, community groups, secondary schools and other influencers in various matters relating to the application for admission, program information, course information, and college services.

What you will need to be considered:

  • Three (3) year diploma or degree in Public Relations, Marketing or Business, Communications, Event Management or a related/relevant field;
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a public relations, marketing, sales or related lead generation field; and
  • Valid Class G Driver’s License

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in results-driven marketing, and demonstrated budget management, project management and event management. As well as excellent written and oral communication skills, advanced proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and have the ability to multi-task and collaborate with others.
