Job summary

Oxford Learning Orléans is seeking a dynamic Student & Parent Engagement Coordinator to join our leadership team. You will guide families, support students, mentor teachers, and help run daily operations in-person at the centre.

This role emphasizes leadership, educational excellence, and a strong commitment to student success within a collaborative learning environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in Education, Mathematics, Languages, Social Sciences, or related field.
• Fluency in French and English (spoken, written, reading) is mandatory.
• Experience teaching or tutoring beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead Student & Parent Engagement, welcome families, develop learning plans, monitor progress, and report on student outcomes (≤140 chars).
• Teach students during afternoon/evening hours and coach educators to maintain teaching standards.
• Support Centre Leadership with scheduling, operations, and creating a welcoming learning environment.

Student & Parent Engagement Coordinator

Full-Time Leadership Opportunity | Oxford Learning Orléans

Oxford Learning Orléans is seeking an energetic, organized, and people-focused Student & Parent Engagement Coordinator to join our leadership team.

Working alongside the Centre Director, you'll be at the heart of our learning centre, guiding families through their educational journey, supporting students in achieving success, mentoring teachers, and helping lead the day-to-day operations of a thriving educational environment.

This is more than a teaching position; it's an opportunity to become a leader who changes lives every day.

This position is in-person. This is not an online role. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

About the Role

As the Student & Parent Engagement Coordinator, you'll serve as the bridge between students, families, teachers, and leadership.

You'll welcome new families, conduct student assessments, develop personalized learning plans, coach educators, monitor student progress, and help ensure every child receives an exceptional learning experience.

No two days are ever the same. One moment you'll be meeting with a family to celebrate a student's progress, the next you'll be mentoring teachers, coordinating schedules, or teaching students and watching their confidence grow.

What You'll Do

Student & Parent Engagement

• Welcome prospective families and introduce Oxford Learning programs
• Build meaningful relationships with students and parents
• Conduct student assessments
• Develop individualized learning plans
• Meet regularly with families to review progress and celebrate achievements
• Prepare detailed student progress reports

Teaching & Educational Leadership

• Teach students during afternoon and evening instructional hours
• Coach and mentor teachers
• Support instructional excellence across the centre
• Ensure Oxford Learning teaching standards are consistently maintained
• Foster a collaborative, positive teaching culture

Centre Leadership

• Coordinate student and teacher schedules
• Prepare the centre for daily operations
• Support the Centre Director with daily leadership responsibilities
• Help create an organized, welcoming, and engaging learning environment
• Jump in wherever needed to ensure students and teachers are successful

What We're Looking For

Education

• University degree in Education, Mathematics, Languages, Social Sciences, or a related field
• Fluency in both French and English (spoken, written, and reading) is mandatory

Experience & Skills

Compensation & Career Growth

Salary: From$20 – $22 / hour

We're committed to helping our leaders grow.

• Six-month probationary period
• Performance review after six months
• Opportunity to transition into a salaried leadership position based on performance after probation
• Two weeks of paid vacation during the holiday season (once salaried)

Schedule (Non-Negotiable)

Because we're an after-school learning centre, our leadership team works when our students learn.

July – August

• Monday–Thursday: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Friday: 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

September – June

• Monday–Thursday: 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
