Job summary

LensCrafters is seeking a Student Optician for a casual part-time role at our Ontario store. You will help customers with frame selections, dispense eyewear, and support the licensed optician with measurements and fittings.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an Opticianry program with prior optical dispensing experience, strong communication, and comfort using technology (IPAD/tablet) to engage customers.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Opticianry program.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise assortment and use of Inventory management systems.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Sales skills – ability to use and carry a IPAD / tablet.
• Comfortable with use of technology to engage patients, customers and associates.

• Assists customers with selections, provides recommendations & educates on adjustment services.

• Under the Supervision of a Licensed Optician.
• Records measurements, adjusts/fits eyewear correctly, ensure it meets customer needs.
• Operates the Point of Sale terminal inputting customer and prescription information with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Takes pride in appearance of the store & visual displays.
