Job summary

LensCrafters in Toronto, Ontario is seeking a Student Optician to deliver Signature Customer Experiences while learning under a Licensed Optician. You will assist customers with selections, take measurements, and input prescriptions at the POS with precision.

You must be enrolled in an Opticianry program with dispensing knowledge and strong communication. This role combines customer service with retail optical duties in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Opticianry program.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise assortment and use of Inventory management systems.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Sales skills – ability to use and carry an IPAD / tablet.
• Comfortable with use of technology to engage patients, customers and associates.

Responsibilities

• Assists customers with selections, provides recommendations & educates on adjustment services.
• Patient & courteous with indecisive customers; provides answers to questions or products.
• Is a leader in optical acumen that provides a voice for associates due to their expertise.
• Under the Supervision of a Licensed Optician.
• Records measurements, adjusts/fits eyewear correctly, ensure it meets customer needs.
• Operates the Point of Sale terminal inputting customer and prescription information with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Takes pride in appearance of the store & visual displays.
