Job summary

Capilano Students' Union is seeking a Student Groups Coordinator in North Vancouver, reporting to the Associate Executive Director. The role coordinates resources and support for student clubs, associations, and collectives, while working closely with group leaders to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

The successful candidate will manage funding processes, budget development support, and training for student executives, with a focus on effective communication and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational background.
• At least two years of experience providing administrative support and organizing resources for multiple teams, groups, or constituencies in a non-profit, post-secondary, or youth-focused setting.
• Ability to handle high volume of queries and stay organized while coordinating requests from multiple sources.

Responsibilities

• Acts as primary contact, resource, and support for most student groups including clubs, associations, and collectives.
• Provides operational and logistical support: funding requests, space/equipment bookings, purchasing, catering, travel, and other operations.
• Advises student groups in accessing resources, funds, and proposal preparation; helps develop annual budgets and approvals.
