Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting the design of bridges and/or civil structures within a consulting or engineering environment.
• Proficiency with structural design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar).
• Working knowledge of Canadian bridge and structural design codes and standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based, multidisciplinary environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Eligibility to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed designs and drawings for bridges and civil structures per codes.
• Develop preliminary and detailed design packages for projects.
• Collaborate with engineers, technologists and PMs for coordinated designs.
• Assist with quantity take-offs, cost estimates and constructability reviews.
• Incorporate sustainability, safety and quality into design work.
• Participate in design reviews and apply feedback.
• Contribute to project documentation and client deliverables.
• Support field reviews and construction-phase services.

Your Impact

• Prepare detailed structural designs and drawings for bridges and civil structures in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Support the development of preliminary and detailed design packages for transportation infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with engineers, technologists, and project managers to deliver coordinated design solutions.
• Assist with quantity take‑offs, cost estimates, and constructability reviews.
• Incorporate sustainability, safety, and quality considerations into all design work.
• Participate in design reviews and apply feedback to continuously improve technical outputs.
• Contribute to project documentation, reports, and client deliverables.
• Support field reviews and construction-phase services as required.

Compensation:

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $73,400 – $97,200
MB & ON: $67,400 – $97,200
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $66,300 – $88,000
