Job summary

Qualus in Vancouver, BC seeks an Engineer III - Structural to lead structural design and analysis for heavy industry substations. You will deliver concept to detailed design for equipment supports, towers, and switchgear buildings, using SAP2000, LPILE, SAFE, and MathCAD. A P.Eng.

or eligibility in BC is required, with 5–8 years of relevant experience. You will coordinate budgets, schedules, and resources, mentor junior engineers, and interface with clients and partners to ensure integrated

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher in Structural Engineering with a Canadian P.Eng. designation or eligibility for registration.
• 5–8 years of structural engineering design experience.
• Experience designing for utility substations and knowledge of Canadian codes.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to structural design, calculations, and design drawing reviews from concept to detail for substations and related structures.
• Perform structural analysis/modeling using SAP2000, LPILE, SAFE, and MathCAD.
• Prepare and review design reports, plans, construction specs, and field review documentation.
• Coordinate project scope, schedule, and budget for structural discipline teams.
• Engage with clients and partners; present information and respond to questions.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with other disciplines to deliver integrated projects.
