Structural Engineer – Bridge Asset Management Te whiwhinga mahi| The opportunity We have an opportunity for a skilled and passionate Structural Engineer specialising in Bridge asset management to join our growing team in Hamilton. In this role you will work within one of New Zealand’s most reputable structures asset management teams, looking after some of the nation’s oldest bridges. You will be expected to manage and deliver a wide range of exciting projects for our established client-base. Projects include delivery of life-extending strengthening and remediation works, alongside connecting communities with new and replacement solutions. A motivation to develop successful client relationships, seek innovative best-for-project outcomes and tread lightly on the planet is essential. Mōu ake | About you We are seeking a structural engineer passionate about bridges and asset management. You will oversee the quality and safety of structural assets across the Waikato, focusing on assessing existing bridge assets and partnering with clients to understand their long-term plans. Your role includes managing and prioritising forward works, designing and delivering remedial or repair work, and collaborating with contractors to implement industry best practices and key Health and Safety/Safety in Design practices. The ideal candidate will have experience in the land transport or rail markets, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A relevant tertiary qualification, a minimum of 2 years of structural engineering experience, and consulting experience are required.
