Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Structural Draughtsperson to join the Kimberley engineering team. You will translate structural designs into detailed CAD drawings and 3D models, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specs. Hybrid work options are available.

You will collaborate with structural engineers, review design changes, and maintain thorough project documentation. A National Diploma in Draughting and 5+ years' experience are required.

Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Draughtsperson to join their engineering team in Kimberley . In this role, you will be responsible for translating structural engineering designs into detailed technical drawings and models using CAD software. You will work closely with structural engineers to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to project specifications and industry standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to diverse structural projects within the Northern Cape and to develop your drafting expertise in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed structural drawings, plans, sections, and elevations from engineering designs and sketches.
• Create 3D models of structural components and assemblies using CAD software.
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant building codes, standards, and project-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with structural engineers to review and revise drawings based on design changes or feedback.
• Maintain an organized system for managing and archiving drawings and project documentation.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, such as architectural and mechanical, to ensure integration of structural designs.

Requirements

• National Diploma or relevant certification in Draughting or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Structural Draughtsperson.
