Job summary

GreenShield Canada (GSC) in Windsor is seeking a Strategic Underwriting Analyst to join the Underwriting Department. This role focuses on ensuring underwriting processes align with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and provides insights from data analysis to drive strategic decisions.

The successful candidate will collaborate with finance, risk management, and operations, develop plans for new business and retention, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize underwriting

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with the Director of Underwriting to develop new strategic plans for underwriting new business and for retaining existing business.
Data Analysis and Reporting: analyze underwriting data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement; generate regular reports to track performance against the AOP.
Align underwriting activities with the AOP and monitor KPIs; report to senior leadership on performance.
Identify areas for process optimization within the underwriting workflow; propose and implement CI plans to reduce administrative effort.
Collaborate with Finance, Risk Management, and Operations to ensure cohesive alignment with the AOP.
