Job summary

Star Building Materials Edmonton seeks a Sales Manager to analyze the market, develop targets and tactics, and coach the sales team to meet expectations. You will ensure excellent customer experiences and drive performance across the department.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication, active listening, problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead by example. Travel to sites and regular office work are expected as part of this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Commerce, Retail, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of sales experience in a managerial position.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Hire, develop, supervise, and guide sales employees.
• Monitor marketplace and competitors to devise sales tactics.
• Oversee internal and external sales; prepare quotes, contracts, and respond to client inquiries.
• Process and review customer orders ensuring accuracy and service.
• Identify ways to improve sales and customer service programs.
• Monitor order and project progress; keep records up to date.
• Update homebuilders' model specs and pricing.
