Job summary

Connective in Whitehorse, Yukon, is seeking a Program Manager to lead and evolve our community‑based programming. You will plan, organize, staff, and monitor activities to meet program targets while delivering high‑quality services to clients, funders, and regulators.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and several years of management experience in social services, with strong English communication, team leadership, and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or professional designation; minimum 5 years relevant experience
• Extensive experience with vulnerable populations and housing-related supports
• Experience managing day-to-day operations of community-based programs
• Excellent verbal and written English skills
• Knowledge of group process, counseling, and crisis management
• Experience hiring, training, and supervising staff

Responsibilities

• Admin: develop manuals, brochures, and records; hire, supervise, evaluate staff and contractors
• Manage staffing schedules and orientation programs
• Oversee financial and administrative aspects of the program
• Programs: design inclusive, culturally sensitive support programs and liaise with funders
• Collaborate with Connective staff for referrals and community partnerships
• Facilities: ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with regulations
• On Call: provide after-hours coverage as needed
• Other Duties: coordinate multiple teams and HR functions
