Job summary

Lakefront Utilities inc. is seeking a Procurement & Finance Coordinator to manage purchasing, fixed assets, and select financial functions for its Cobourg-based operations.

The role interfaces between Finance and Operations, supporting budgeting, reporting, and governance across electric and water services. The successful candidate will handle supplier relations, asset tagging, and monthly reconciliations, while maintaining strong controls and cross-functional collaboration with departments and

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Finance.
• Minimum 3 years experience in purchasing, procurement, accounting, inventory management, or finance.
• Experience in electric/water utility or public sector is a strong asset.
• Experience using Dynamics GP and/or Northstar is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement and purchasing in line with policy and legislation.
• Maintain perpetual inventory records and reconcile with General Ledger.
• Prepare journals, account reconciliations and budget updates.
• Support capital asset tracking, depreciation and year-end schedules.
• Coordinate fleet administration and service contracts.
• Assist with accounts payable and financial reporting.
