Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking within relevant industries such as Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and across various management levels.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience at a Bigtech, FI/Fintech, or Commerce platform company in related spaces.
  • Experience managing complex, end-to-end partnerships.
  • Ability to identify business opportunities, assess benefits, structure agreements, and negotiate terms.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
About the Job

Google's products and services are continuously expanding. The Partnerships Development team explores new opportunities with Google's partners, leveraging business acumen and product knowledge to facilitate growth through Google's latest offerings such as YouTube, Google TV, and Commerce.

Within the Canadian Market, the role involves engaging with internal and external partners to develop strategies for growth using Google's Shopping and Payments products, leading business development and go-to-market strategies across the country.

This position entails collaborating with product teams to validate market fit, contribute to product development, and define go-to-market strategies, culminating in launching key partnerships to achieve Google's commerce objectives in Canada.

The role requires experimenting, adjusting strategies, navigating complex organizations, and collaborating across product areas to develop innovative partner solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain external relationships with partners of all sizes and manage these partnerships.
  • Develop tactical initiatives and go-to-market strategies across product areas to meet Google's goals.
  • Negotiate complex agreements, renewals, and expansions, building consensus with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as a relationship manager to realize and optimize value from partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across geographies to launch and improve features and user experiences.
