Job description

Strategic Partnerships Development Manager
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in industries such as Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functional management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in relevant fields and industries.
  • Experience working with senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in managing partnerships and agreements.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in a Bigtech, FI/Fintech, or Commerce platform company in related space.
  • Proven experience managing complex, end-to-end partnerships.
  • Ability to identify business opportunities, assess benefits, structure agreements, and negotiate terms.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Google's products and services are constantly expanding. The Partnerships Development team explores new opportunities with Google's partners, leveraging your business acumen and product knowledge to help partners grow using Google's offerings like YouTube, Google TV, and Commerce.

Within the Canadian Market, you will lead business development and go-to-market strategies for Google Payments and Shopping, engaging with financial institutions, processors, networks, merchants, and partners.

You will collaborate with product and cross-functional teams to validate product-market fit, contribute to developing new products, and define go-to-market strategies for Canada, culminating in launching key partnerships to achieve Google's commerce objectives.

This role involves experimenting, adjusting strategies, navigating complex organizations, and developing innovative solutions for partners.

The Global Partnerships organization explores new opportunities and supports Google’s product teams with strategic partnerships across various domains, including advertising, search, assistant, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain external relationships with partners of all sizes.
  • Develop tactical initiatives and go-to-market strategies across industries.
  • Negotiate and manage complex agreements, renewals, and expansions.
  • Serve as the relationship manager for existing partnerships, optimizing value and building long-term relationships.
  • Coordinate with internal teams across geographies to launch and improve features and user experiences.
