Job summary

Halliwell Consulting Corp in New Brunswick is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Planner for an immediate opening. You will manage daily work requests, estimate timelines, allocate resources and parts, and maintain backlog.

You will develop weekly planned work, coordinate with production, monitor spend, and promote safe practices while ensuring compliance with management systems and the collective agreement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or diploma in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3 years’ experience in a similar maintenance/planning role.
• Experience with maintenance planning systems.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Mange new work requests daily including estimations, timelines, resources and parts.
• Maintain and manage backlog of incomplete work.
• Develop lists of work for area and major shutdowns.
• Create a weekly schedule of planned work and adapt to breakdowns.
• Monitor spend versus budgets for material, labor and services.
• Coordinate with Production Team and attend meetings for planning and trouble-shooting.
• Communicate with Maintenance and other departments to ensure continuity.
