Job summary

Nutri-Pea Limited in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba is seeking a capable maintenance planner to plan, schedule, and optimize maintenance work across plant equipment and facilities. You will create and manage preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance plans to ensure reliable operations and efficient production.

The role requires coordinating with various stakeholders to secure parts, materials, tools and manpower, and will involve procurement, inventory control, and ensuring safety

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance department is a plus.
• Familiar with maintenance software is an asset.
• Complete Health and Safety, GMP and SQF training.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and optimize maintenance work.
• Create and manage maintenance schedules (preventative, predictive, reactive) to ensure equipment reliability.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure parts, materials, tools and manpower are available.
• Procure maintenance materials and equipment and monitor maintenance inventory.
• Ensure safety procedures, permits and PPE are available when scheduling tasks.
• Maintain work orders, documentation and assets in the CMMS.
• Assist with project and shutdown planning and scheduling.
• Contribute to maintenance process improvements and the work management system.

Education

Grade 12 diploma or equivalent

Job description

• Plan, schedule, and optimize maintenance work.
• Create and manage schedules for all types of maintenance (preventative, predictive and reactive) for equipment and the facilities to ensure equipment reliability and efficient operations.
• Ensure necessary parts, materials, tools and manpower are available and allocated for maintenance tasks by coordinating with all stakeholders.
• Responsible for procurement of maintenance materials and equipment and responsible for the monitoring/maintaining of maintenance inventory.
• Ensure safety procedures are adhered to when scheduling tasks and that all appropriate permits and safety equipment are available.
• Manage and develop work orders, documentation and assets within the computerized maintenance management system.
• Administrator and coordinator of the plant maintenance software
• Assist with project and shutdown planning and scheduling.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of maintenance processes, procedures and the overall work management system

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience within a maintenance department & with maintenance software is considered an asset.
• Participate in all required Health and Safety, GMP and SQF training.
• Subject to a clear criminal records check.
