Job summary

Alberta Health Services Health Shared Services is seeking an experienced Program Director to lead the IT Provincial Community Care Services. The role reports to the Executive Director and oversees IT projects that impact frontline operations and patient care for Albertans.

The ideal candidate has 7–10+ years in program and change management within a complex healthcare environment, PMP designation, and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Progressive and demonstrated senior leadership experience within a large, complex healthcare environment working with integrated clinical systems on strategy, planning, and implementation.
• Minimum of a Bachelor degree combined with experience working within the healthcare ecosystem.
• 7 to 10+ years of project, program and change management experience on large and complex IT projects.
• Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation, and Prosci® Certification in Change Management required.
• Significant experience in facilitation, building business relationships with key stakeholders, conflict resolution and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, consultation, and management across all Provincial Community Care Services IT areas.
• Build strong business relationships with key stakeholders and leaders while managing large-scale organizational initiatives.
• Foster partnerships and ensure successful project implementations with audit, risk, transition to operations and continuous improvement.
