Job summary

Government of Alberta is seeking an Executive Director, Health Insurance Programs in Edmonton. You will provide strategic leadership and coordination for Alberta's health care insurance programs, including the AHICP and interprovincial agreements, with fiduciary responsibility for expenditures.

You will report to the Assistant Deputy Minister, lead senior teams, influence policy governance, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to deliver results across the ministry.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in health care insurance or similar programs.
• Experience with governance, policy development and program delivery.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and coordination of health care insurance programs.
• Oversee policy governance for the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan.
• Represent Alberta in interprovincial health insurance matters and manage fiduciary responsibilities.
