Job summary

Alberta Health Services seeks a seasoned Clinical Informatician to join the Connect Care program. You will translate clinical needs into optimized content and workflows, working with clinicians, prescribers and CSI teams to identify opportunities and prototype improvements.

You will lead change management, knowledge translation, and staff education, coaching teams and contributing to governance structures within a fast-paced health system.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required; clinical background encouraged.
• Minimum 5 years of progressively more responsible roles in clinical informatics.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in either direct healthcare delivery or informatics capacity with clinicians.
• Demonstrated understanding of clinical best practice, quality improvement frameworks and clinical system design.
• Detail oriented with the ability to probe for information to fully understand clinical needs.
• Ability to lead complex discussions and negotiate solutions.
• Proven project management skills and ability to manage a project plan.

Responsibilities

• Understand Connect Care user needs and priorities across teams and initiatives.
• Identify Connect Care improvement opportunities, develop comprehensive improvement plans and prioritize work.
• Co-design Connect Care clinical content and workflows with clinicians as needs change.
• Lead change management and user education to support adoption.
• Mentor and support junior staff and lead cross-functional discussions.
