Job summary

Alberta Health Services, through Assisted Living Alberta, seeks a Program Director to oversee continuing care funding and allocation across the province. The role drives funding methodologies, policy implementation, and provider support to improve client outcomes and service sustainability.

The position is provincial with negotiable location and potential for remote/hybrid work; candidates will lead a professional team and partner with government ministries to align funding with system

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in health economics, health administration, business administration, public administration, economics, finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum of seven years of progressive leadership experience in health care funding, health system planning, finance, analytics or a related field.
• Experience working with government ministries and contracted health service providers on funding policy and models.

Responsibilities

• Provide provincial leadership for funding models, allocation methodologies and funding advice across the continuing care system.
• Lead funding approaches for Continuing Care Homes, Home and Community Care, Palliative and Specialty Funding, and related services.
• Collaborate with government ministries and senior leadership to align funding with service delivery and system outcomes.
