Job summary

Wajax Corporation in Calgary is seeking an HR Business Partner to align people strategies with business objectives and drive organizational performance. You will provide consultative and operational HR support across the employee lifecycle, partnering with leaders to build capability and nurture a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities include talent acquisition, workforce planning, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, succession planning, and retention.

Qualifications

• CHRP designation preferred
• 7+ years of similar role with experience partnering with senior leaders and frontline management, with a proven track record of delivering results and managing change
• Experience in labour relations and applying applicable legislation, collective agreements & company policies

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in teams to develop and drive HR initiatives and programs to deliver the company’s HR strategy and services
• Lead implementation planning for talent acquisition, performance management, capability development and talent management
• Partner with leaders & talent acquisition to fulfill hiring needs through effective recruiting and onboarding processes
• Plan change initiatives within the region/division and ensure strategic action plans are in place
• Diagnose organizational issues and make recommendations to support culture and structural changes
• Provide guidance on employee/labour relations, coaching leaders on interpretation of policies and legislation
• Develop communication strategies to support change, build employee engagement and support business objectives
• Deliver or facilitate organizational development training on supervisory practices and interpersonal skills
• Collaborate with leaders to consider people implications of business decisions
• Support return-to-work programs and disability claims management
• Use metrics/analytics to identify talent trends and HR issues and inform decisions
