Job summary

Northland Properties Corporation (NPC) is seeking an HR Business Partner to support its Construction & Design Division. Reporting to the Vice President, you will partner with project leaders and corporate teams, providing hands-on HR support in employee relations, talent management, workforce planning, and leadership development.

You will administer Dayforce HRIS, generate workforce metrics, support immigration programs (LMIA and work permits), and ensure compliance with employment legislation,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a Business Partner or Senior HR Generalist capacity.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian employment standards, human rights legislation, and employee relations.
• Experience supporting construction, engineering, or project-based operations.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and providing recommendations.
• Experience with immigration programs and LMIA/work permits.
• HRIS experience with data reporting and analytics; Dayforce an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong presentation skills.

• Partner with leaders to develop and implement people strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Provide guidance for employee relations, performance management, and investigations.
• Deliver training and coaching on workplace policies and HR fundamentals.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and lifecycle processes.
• Administer and support Dayforce HRIS and reporting.
• Generate workforce metrics for strategic decision-making.
• Support immigration processes and compliance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and applicable agreements.
