Job summary

Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) in Ontario is seeking a Project Manager to drive major initiatives within the Markets and Reliability Business Unit. You will coordinate registrations, manage facility lifecycle, and guide cross-functional teams to ensure reliable grid connections and operational readiness.

The role emphasizes disciplined delivery, risk management, and strong customer collaboration to support Ontario’s evolving energy infrastructure and energy transition.

Qualifications

• Requires lengthy exposure to the overall power system operation through progressive training in an appropriate technical field.
• Requires specific experience as applicable to the particular specialty of the group.
• Experience will be related to the fields of: Registration of energy resources for Market Operations; Secure operation of bulk power system; Understanding of participant capability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the planning and delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives impacting Operations, ensuring alignment with priorities and reliability objectives.
• Drive structured project execution with governance, scope, risk management, and disciplined delivery.
• Guide cross-functional teams by providing direction and ensuring accountability across all project stages.
• Champion stakeholder engagement and change management for seamless implementation of operational changes.
• Enhance project management practices, tools, and frameworks within Operations Integration.
