Job summary

Rotaflow Fire Systems, based in Edmonton, seeks a strategic Controller to lead finance and accounting, driving performance and modernization. You will head a team of five, partner with operations, and implement automation and AI to create scalable processes.

The role emphasizes project accounting, WIP reporting, and close reliability. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in accounting, construction industry exposure, and a CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years in progressive accounting roles, with 3+ in Controller/senior finance.
• Deep construction accounting knowledge: % of completion, job costing, WIP.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close, financial statements, and compliance.
• Lead forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for exec decisions.
• Manage WIP reporting and job costing by project and phase.
• Drive automation, AI, and Lean accounting to improve close times.
• Mentor a five-person finance team and partner with operations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
