Aramark Canada in Kamloops seeks an Event Sales Coordinator to convert inquiries into booked events and support planning from start to finish. You will build relationships, manage proposals, and drive revenue while delivering exceptional client experiences.

The role blends sales, planning, and client management, requiring strong communication, organization, and collaboration with culinary and operations teams to ensure successful events and repeat business within the university environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of catering or event sales experience.
• Proven outbound sales success including cold calling.
• Knowledge of catering operations, banquet service and event logistics.
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate multiple events.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and on-site events as required.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and events.

Responsibilities

• Actively respond to inquiries with timely proposals and manage the sales pipeline.
• Proactively pursue new business via cold calls, referrals and networking.
• Prepare quotes, proposals and contracts with accurate client records.
• Follow a structured sales process and nurture prospects for conversion.
• Build relationships with clients, venues, planners and partners.
• Upsell catering enhancements and services to increase revenue.
• Attend events and industry functions to develop business relationships.
• Deliver exceptional service to generate repeat business and referrals.
• Report on pipeline status, forecast and performance against targets.
• Monitor KPIs and participate in regional pipeline reviews.
• Collaborate with sales toolkit and negotiation strategies to close opportunities.
