Job summary

Viral Nation is hiring a Director, Project Management to lead and coach PMs across complex programs within Client Services. You’ll own delivery standards, budgeting, risk management, and cross-functional execution while building PM excellence across the team.

You will partner with leadership to forecast capacity, optimize resourcing, and drive operational rigor, ensuring programs are delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of project management experience in an agency, marketing, or integrated services environment.
• Strong command of project management tools; Monday.com experience is highly valuable.
• Proven people leadership experience coaching and developing PMs and Sr. PMs.
• Ability to train PM teams on scope, work-back planning, resource management and risk.
• Excellent analytical and commercial skills; translate burn, utilization and pacing into recommendations.
• Strong executive communication and influencing skills across cross-functional teams.
• A proactive leadership mindset; coach teams through ambiguity and deliver recommendations.
• Experience managing creative production workflows from ideation to delivery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and develop Project Managers and Sr. Project Managers; set clear performance expectations.
• Build PM capability through onboarding, training, shadowing, feedback, and ongoing coaching.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance conversations, and development planning.
• Review PM work product and program health; provide hands-on guidance on scopes, timelines, budgets, and resourcing.
• Partner with leadership on PM resourcing, capacity planning, hiring, onboarding, and succession planning.
• Maintain a master program tracker; ensure milestones and timelines are defined and tracked.
• Proactively flag scope drift and manage risks; set up schedules and documentation.
• Ensure cross-functional teams are informed and aligned; monitor budget and hours.
• Set up and maintain project infrastructure and governance across accounts.
