Job summary

Univar Solutions Canada Ltd is seeking a Demand Planner to collaborate with Sales, Purchasing and Product Management to maintain accurate forecasts of materials and ensure product availability for customers. You will analyze demand data and support inventory decisions in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a degree and training in supply chain concepts, strong communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in a related program.
  • Two years specialized training (PMAC, APICS) or related work experience.
  • Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Act as key support pillar to Purchasing Manager and Procurement Analyst.
  • Collaborates with Purchasing & Commercial teams to maintain forecasts and ensure material availability.
  • Help manage district-level targets such as Days Inventory on Hand and forecast accuracy.
  • Reviews Customer Demand Forecast entries to confirm source and ability to meet demand.
  • Assist in evaluating stocking strategy and generate reports to support purchasing and planning activities.
  • Provides backup coverage for Procurement Analyst.
