Job summary

Univar Solutions Canada Ltd is seeking a Demand Planner to collaborate with Sales, Purchasing and Product Management to maintain accurate forecasts of materials and ensure product availability for customers. You will analyze demand data and support inventory decisions in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a degree and training in supply chain concepts, strong communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or college diploma in a related program.
• Two years specialized training (PMAC, APICS) or related work experience.
• Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Act as key support pillar to Purchasing Manager and Procurement Analyst.
• Collaborates with Purchasing & Commercial teams to maintain forecasts and ensure material availability.
• Help manage district-level targets such as Days Inventory on Hand and forecast accuracy.
• Reviews Customer Demand Forecast entries to confirm source and ability to meet demand.
• Assist in evaluating stocking strategy and generate reports to support purchasing and planning activities.
• Provides backup coverage for Procurement Analyst.

Primary Purpose

The Demand Planner is responsible for collaborating with Sales, Purchasing, and Product Management to maintain adequate forecasts of materials and ensure availability for customer requirements.

What you'll do

• Act as key support pillar to Purchasing Manager and Procurement Analyst
• Collaborates closely with Purchasing & Commercial teams to maintain adequate forecasts of materials and ensure availability for customer requirements
• Help manage district-level targets such as Days Inventory on Hand, Unproductive Inventory reduction, and forecast accuracy
• Reviews Customer Demand Forecast (CDF) entries to confirm source and ability to meet demand
• Assist in evaluating stocking strategy and generates various reporting to support purchasing and planning activities
• Provides backup coverage for Procurement Analyst when necessary

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree or College diploma in a related program and two (2) years specialized training (PMAC, APICS, or related work experience) is required
• Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills are required
• Must understand and practice customer service excellence and have strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a dynamic and high-paced environment
• The successful applicant must also demonstrate initiative, autonomy, ethics and the ability to analyze alternatives and manage competing priorities
• Candidates must possess advanced skills in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
• Knowledge of SAP would be considered an asset

This position is currently vacant.The annual expected salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
