Job summary

WestJet Group is seeking a skilled Finance professional to join the Corporate Planning team in Calgary. You will deliver actionable financial insights to support the ELT and Board, drive budgeting and forecasting, and build models for strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
• 3+ years in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or valuation.
• Ability to perform detailed financial analysis and present concise recommendations to senior leadership.
• Strong financial modeling including forecasting, scenario analysis, and three-statement modeling; DCF is a plus.
• Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
• OneStream or Oracle Hyperion experience is an asset.
• Airline industry experience is an asset.
• CPA/CFA/CBV progress or completion is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial and operational performance and deliver actionable insights.
• Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting for ELT and Board.
• Coordinate monthly department performance reviews and investigate variances.
• Support annual budget, long-range plan, and monthly forecasts.
• Benchmark performance against peers and competitors.
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses for strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reporting and forecasting accuracy.
• Support monthly traffic reporting and analysis of key metrics.
• Contribute to the Finance team with ad hoc analyses and best practices.
