Argus Group is seeking a Controller to lead the finance function at our Delta, BC location, reporting to the CFO. The role oversees day-to-day accounting operations, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and audits across multiple entities.

Qualifications

• CPA designation is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
• 3-4 years of progressive senior finance or accounting leadership experience.
• Extensive corporate accounting and financial management experience including reporting, budgeting and internal controls.
• Proven experience managing external audits by public accounting firms.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including GL, journal entries, banking, A/R, A/P, fixed assets, foreign exchange and statutory reporting.
• Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Lead annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting with variance analysis and reporting.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial results to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Provide strategic financial analysis to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with operations to improve processes, efficiency, and financial performance.
• Coordinate product pricing, costing, and margin analysis with sales/operations.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial records and disclosures.
• Prepare financial statements for management, lenders, and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.
