Strategy Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations, reporting, and accounting functions within a growing organization in Canada. You will lead a team, ensure accuracy of statements, and drive process improvements across finance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial management experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Experience with accounting systems, ERP platforms, and financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
• Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and financial regulations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and operational efficiency.
• Support audits and collaborate with senior leadership on financial strategy and decision-making.
• Lead and develop the accounting team.
