Danone Canada seeks a Director of Communications to shape our corporate narrative and strengthen reputation across Canada, reporting to the SVP, General Secretary & General Counsel. The role leads an integrated communications strategy aligned with business priorities and our purpose, driving employee engagement and stakeholder trust.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in strategic communications.
• Demonstrated expertise in corporate reputation, issues and crisis management, media relations and spokesperson responsibilities.
• Strong track record advising senior leaders and translating business priorities into clear communications strategies.
• Proven people leadership, collaboration and stakeholder influence across complex organizations.
• Strong business acumen, agility, resilience, digital and AI fluency, and a results-oriented mindset.
• Bilingual in English and French; bilingualism is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an integrated communications and reputation strategy aligned with Danone Canada’s priorities, growth and purpose.
• Lead internal and external communications with a consistent narrative across audiences and channels.
• Anticipate and manage reputational risks in partnership with business leaders and crisis management team.
• Lead media relations and executive visibility; prepare leaders for interviews and engagements.
• Build relationships with internal/external stakeholders and identify partnership opportunities.
• Lead, coach and develop the communications team; manage agencies, budget and resources; utilize KPIs and digital tools.
