Job summary

Med-Eng is seeking an experienced Buyer to procure materials, supplies and equipment. You will work under the Strategic Supply Chain Manager and Specialist to ensure timely delivery and compliance with policies, while traveling as needed.

The role requires five years’ purchasing experience, knowledge of ITAR, and ability to negotiate with vendors. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems is essential for accurate reporting and materials management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a buyer
• Knowledge of ITAR and other applicable laws and regulations
• Experience procuring electronics and soft-goods manufacturing materials and supplies
• Strong purchasing, contract management and inventory control knowledge
• Read and interpret policies, drawings and specifications accurately

Responsibilities

• Review purchase requisitions for completeness and remaining funds; determine procurement method
• Issue purchase orders and revise as requirements change or costs rise
• Acquire sourcing information: price, quality, availability, terms, vendor flexibility
• Monitor contracts, expediting delivery and reconcile invoices
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and MSDS, insurance and trade controls; travel as required
