Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in Cambridge, Ontario is seeking a Buyer to coordinate procurement for medical gas systems and general office products. You will work with vendors to obtain quotations, issue POs in SAP Act!, and support inventory to meet production and project deadlines.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Logistics, Project Management and Service departments to maintain inventory and ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• OSSD or equivalent required.
• 3+ years in purchasing, customer service, or finance admin in manufacturing.
• PMAC certificate considered an asset.
• SAP Act! experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Receive purchase requests and issue POs in SAP Act! for payment processing.
• Identify and resolve purchasing problems; ensure timely deliveries.
• Correspond with suppliers for quotes and manage PO status and credits.
• Analyze vendor pricing for cost savings and identify alternative suppliers.
• Maintain vendor scorecards and source unknown products as needed.
• Coordinate returns and RGAs to keep inventory counts accurate.
• Maintain ERP files with materials, prices and lead times.
• Collaborate with Eng. and other departments to follow QA and safety standards.
