A staffing solution provider is looking for a Strategic Business Analyst in Calgary, Alberta, for a 3+ month contract. We are currently seeking a Strategic Business Analyst to support Calgary Housing for a 3+ month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful policy and governance work that will directly impact board-level operations. Responsibilities
  • Conduct strategic reviews and policy analysis for Calgary Housing’s Board Expense Policy and Board Code of Conduct Policy.
  • Collaborate with leadership to assess feedback from board members and Executive Leadership Team on policy effectiveness and clarity.
  • Analyze relevant policies from Calgary Housing, the City of Calgary, and the Government of Alberta to ensure legal alignment and best practice adoption.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to align policy updates with related changes, such as those in the Accounts Payable Policy.
  • Draft and revise policy documents to reflect recommended updates and best practices.
  • Prepare formal board reports (in the style of City Council reports) summarizing key changes, rationale, and alignment to governance standards.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, or Public Administration (or related field).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic analysis, governance, policy development, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of municipal or government operations and policy development frameworks.
  • Proven ability to conduct thorough policy reviews and write professional, board-level reports.
