Job summary

CivicInfo BC is seeking a senior leader to oversee arts grant programs, ensuring transparent investment of public resources and alignment with community priorities. This role directs planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement of grant initiatives in the Arts division.

The position requires extensive knowledge of public-sector grant practices, strong budgeting and policy analysis skills, and a proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including Indigenous communities and arts

Qualifications

• Degree in a related discipline.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 5 years' directly related experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads planning, administration, and evaluation of arts granting programs and related funding initiatives.
• Develops program strategies, policies, guidelines, eligibility criteria, and assessment frameworks.
• Oversees annual operating and project grant adjudication processes with fairness and transparency.
• Manages program budgets, funding allocations, and reporting for public funds.
• Provides strategic advice to senior leadership on arts funding priorities and trends.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with artists, arts organizations, Indigenous communities, and funding partners.
• Leads program evaluation and performance measurement activities to assess outcomes.
• Oversees preparation of reports, briefing materials, and public communications.
• Ensures compliance with legislation, policies, governance, and financial controls.
