Job summary

The BC Alliance for Arts + Culture seeks an Executive Director to lead our organization into its next chapter, bringing arts advocacy, strategic leadership, and a commitment to reconciliation. Based in Vancouver with hybrid/remote options, the role focuses on uniting artists, organizations, and communities across BC.

You will oversee operations, develop programs, diversify revenue, and build relationships with a provincial board while ensuring financial sustainability and an equity-centered

Qualifications

• Strong background in arts advocacy, policy, and research.
• Deep knowledge of BC’s arts, culture, and heritage sector.
• Proven leadership, financial management, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience working with a Board of Directors and leading a small, dynamic team.
• Commitment to Reconciliation, equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Advancing arts advocacy and strengthening relationships across the province.
• Developing programs and services that meet members’ needs.
• Collaborating with Arts Service Organizations across BC.
• Overseeing operations, financial sustainability, partnerships, and organizational development.
• Growing and diversifying revenue streams to support the Alliance’s long-term impact.
