Job summary

YWCA BC in Vancouver is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with Finance leadership and program managers to support financial sustainability, reporting, and compliance. You will translate complex financial information for non-finance stakeholders and drive process improvements across the organization.

The role emphasizes budgeting, forecasting, donor restrictions, and funder reporting, with extensive collaboration across teams, auditors, and external partners.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and revenue recognition.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate complex data for non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial reports and analysis for programs, funds, and initiatives.
• Monitor budgets, variances, trends, and financial risks.
• Support month-end, year-end, audits, and funder reporting.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, models, and projections for grants and initiatives.
• Ensure audit-ready reporting and strong financial controls.
