Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Alberta is seeking a Stores I casual/relief at High Prairie Health Complex to handle the picking, packaging, shipping and receiving of hospital supplies, equipment and/or food in accordance with guidelines. You will process requisitions, distribute supplies, and track inventory to prevent overstocking.

Roles involve frequent communication with stakeholders to ensure correct quantities are available.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must be capable of pushing and pulling heavy wheeled carts up to and occasionally exceeding 275 Kgs.
• Must be capable of walking and or standing for long periods of time.
• Must regularly use hand and arms to reach, lift, and carry heavy items up to 25 kg.

Your Opportunity:

In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Description:

As a Stores I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with the picking, packaging, shipping and receiving of orders for hospital supplies, equipment and/or food in accordance with established guidelines and standards. You will process incoming requisitions and distribute supplies, complete cart audits for quality assurance and communicate frequently with stakeholders to ensure appropriate and correct quantities of supplies are available. In addition, you will track and report on inventory to ensure over stocking does not occur.
